Fresh coat of paint …..
Applying a fresh coat of paint does wonders to brighten up both inside and outside of your home. Many real estate agents highly recommend a new coat of paint when preparing to sell a home. There are many different paint products and applications available today so be sure to read the manufacturer’s instruction label and safety warnings on the paint can. One issue in particular is “prepping” the surface. It must be clean and free of any dirt, dust, grime, oil etc. Providing a clean surface for the new paint/primer (or primer) to adhere is essential. This will save you time and effort. I sometimes use a primer/stain blocker first before applying my top coat. It depends on the surface I’m working with at the time. Your local hardware or paint store will be most helpful about surface prepping questions. I believe most of the work involves in surface preparation. The better the “prep”, the better the finish. The fun part is painting (your chosen color) and enjoying your finished work! Hope this helps.
