Remodel your bathroom easily and quick!
At long last, the mirror video is finally finished. This project had a lot roadblocks along the way, but the final version of the mirror came out great! This is part of the Bathroom Renovation Under $500 video which is linked here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeewhIe2fns

Did you ever consider using a French cleat to hang the mirro and attach L brackets on the bottom to hide the brackets? I think it would clean up the edges. Love this build…I’m going to attempt this build soon!
Looks great, so glad to finally see it done and I bet you are too. But…did you lose a pair of pliers to the inside of the mirror at about 4:55 ? Right as you guys set the mirror down I swear I saw some inside the center section.
LOL he totally left those inside the mirror hahaha
RIP Pliers 🙂
Ha!
Rookie mistake
Stumptown Woodworks I had to go back and see that lol
Vc não vai acreditar! Mais acabei de vir do barbeiro e pedi ao mesmo um corte de cabelo e uma barba igual a sua.
Lmao love the infomercial
Delighteddalia me too 😂
Me too Lol.
the mirror effects paint is actually trash
A little bit haha!
Modern Builds i tried it for a coffee table.. ugh. could see layers of the paint, finger prints wiped off even months afterwards, whatever was on the glass. when i got tired of it, one wet swipe got rid of it all. thank you for sharing! beautiful project.. might do it for a new coffee table lol
Diy lesson of the year. “Let the professionals do their work”.
Very nice! I loved that you shared your failures and not just the finished product.
Is it may imagination or u left your plyers inside the frame of the mirror (4 minutes and 45 seconds) into the video
Daniel Martinez that was awesome! Thanks for catching that. Lmfao
hahaha he probably heard it
Daniel Martinez Es verdad, dejó las pinzas en el interior del marco
Lol yes he did
He did 😂😂😂
Just in case you didn’t know, removing flicker from any light is as easy as just changing the shutter speed of the camera, roll it up or down a few steps and it will stop.
Has the bathroom humidity affected any of the wooden shelves/accent wall panels? I just bought some boards to do similar shelving but fear that all the steam&moisture will make them deform :/
lydz121 get a mini dehumidifier for a couple bucks and run it while you shower!
Would have been nice to see the light on at night time/in the dark to see how much it actually lights up the room
Hey everyone!! Make sure to share this vid as much as possible!!! We need 2 million views so Mike can recoup his losses!! 😉

I’ve been listening to your updates on the podcast, glad to finally see the finished product!
Did you lose your pliers behind the mirror @4:54?
Yep! haha
Well worth the sacrifice, the project turned out great! keep it up!
Thanks man! Will do
Yep I saw that too. I was like umm… not seeing those pliers again. XD
One easy payment and one difficult payment. Nice work. Seems like your buddy is your good luck charm. Only thing that would’ve made this better is a “sticky” high five because of the adhesive.
Came for the build, stayed for the infomercial. “Red dragon sword set” 😂😂😂
Yes, I will marry you. Thanks for asking.
Sarah Elizabeth LOL
After heating about this on the Modern Maker Podcast I am stoked to finally see the finished mirror. Thank you for sharing.
Looks nice! I actually just did a couple of these in my master bath. There’s a pretty easy way to make these yourself without hiring a glass shop for cheaper if you have access to a decent air compressor.
Go buy a bare mirror from IKEA, Home Depot, or the like for $40-60. A 3×5 ft. one is about $53 at Home Depot currently. Mask off everything except the area you want to be frosted with duct tape and poster board on the back of the mirror. Now go buy a cheap sand blaster from Harbor Freight or Amazon for $15 and sandblast the exposed mirror. The sandblaster aggregate will both remove the mirror coating AND evenly frost the glass. Proceed with the other steps as normal.
Nice! I might try that!!
Sure thing. Here are some images of the process in case anyone wants to try: https://imgur.com/a/zOMEw
thanks!
Thanks for that info. Photos were a great help
Thanks! Awesome project!
Now I know what our new bathroom mirror is going to look like 😀.
